A house in Milnthorpe

The house was originally a school room for the village and had been converted prior to these alterations.   The additions consisted of an entrance pergola, an open car port and a glazed sun room.

The pergola was designed to provide a feature at the entrance to the house and to screen the garden from adjoining properties.  It is designed in clear finished Douglas fir with a slate roof and incorporates lighting with cables concealed in the structure.  The car port is similar although here the structural timber is painted.  The Sun room was designed to bring light to this part of the house and has a painted glazed screen matching the other windows.
